How to Install Nomad IPTV on Firestick (Step by Step)

The Amazon Firestick is the most popular way to watch Nomad IPTV in the US, Canada and the UK. It's affordable, it plugs into any TV with an HDMI port, and it runs the best IPTV players available. This guide takes you from a Firestick still in its box to watching your first channel, and ends with fixes for the problems we see most often.

Time needed: about 10 minutes the first time, 2 minutes on every Firestick after that.

What you need

• An Amazon Firestick or Fire TV device (any current model — the 4K Max is the fastest).
• Your Nomad IPTV login from the activation email: server URL, username and password. If you don't have one yet, pick a Nomad IPTV plan — the login arrives within minutes of payment.
• A stable internet connection — about 15 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K.

Step 1: Turn on "Install unknown apps"

IPTV players aren't in the Amazon Appstore, so you need to allow apps from outside it. This is a standard Fire OS setting.

1. From the Firestick home screen, go to Settings (the gear icon).
2. Open My Fire TV.
3. Choose Developer options.
4. Select Install unknown apps (on older models: Apps from Unknown Sources) and turn it on.

Don't see Developer options? Go to Settings → My Fire TV → About, highlight your device name and press the select button on the remote seven times. A message confirms you're now a developer, and the menu appears.

Step 2: Install the Downloader app

Downloader is a free app that lets you download files by typing a web address with the remote.

1. Go back to the home screen and choose Find → Search.
2. Type Downloader and select the orange app published by AFTVnews.
3. Choose Get or Download, then Open.
4. Allow access to files and media when asked.
5. Return to Install unknown apps in Developer options and make sure Downloader is switched on.

Step 3: Download your IPTV player

We recommend one of two players on Firestick:

• TiviMate — a cable-style TV guide, favourites, catch-up support and, with Premium, recording. Our first choice for daily use.
• IPTV Smarters Pro — free and simple, with live TV, films and series in one menu.

In Downloader, type the official download address of your chosen player into the URL box and press Go. When the download finishes, choose Install, then Done (not Open). Downloader offers to delete the installation file — choose Delete twice to free up storage.

Only download players from their official sources. If an address you find online looks suspicious, ask our support team for the current official link.

Step 4: Log in with your Nomad IPTV details

In TiviMate

1. Open TiviMate and choose Add playlist.
2. Select Xtream Codes.
3. Enter the server URL exactly as in your email, including http:// and the port number if there is one.
4. Enter your username and password, then Next.
5. Name the playlist (for example "Nomad") and choose Done.

In IPTV Smarters Pro

1. Open the app and accept the terms.
2. Choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
3. Enter any name (for example "Nomad"), then your username, password and server URL.
4. Choose Add user.

Within a minute the app loads your live channels, films, series and the TV guide.

Step 5: Make it yours

A few minutes spent here makes every evening easier:

• Hide unused groups. In TiviMate, long-press a group and choose Hide. Most people hide dozens of international categories they'll never use.
• Add favourites. Long-press a channel and choose Add to favourites. Set Favourites as the start group so the app opens on your channels.

Getting the best picture on a Firestick

Power it properly. Use the power adapter that came in the box, not a USB port on the TV. Underpowered sticks freeze, restart and lose Wi-Fi — and many people blame the stream.

Fix the Wi-Fi. The Firestick sits behind the TV, which blocks the signal. Connect to your router's 5 GHz network if it has one, and consider Amazon's Ethernet adapter — it's the cheapest upgrade with the biggest effect on match days.

Keep storage free. Low storage slows everything down. Uninstall apps you don't use and clear the player's cache from Settings → Applications → Manage installed applications.

Use the right model for 4K. Any current Firestick handles HD. For 4K channels and large channel lists, the Fire TV Stick 4K or 4K Max is noticeably smoother.

Troubleshooting

"Invalid username or password" / "Authorization failed" Check for typos — especially the server URL. It must start with http://, and the port (for example :8080) must be included if your email shows one. Copy-pasting from your phone isn't possible on a Firestick, so type slowly and double-check.

The app installs but won't open Restart the Firestick: hold Select + Play/Pause for five seconds. If it still won't open, uninstall and reinstall the player.

Channels load but buffer Try the HD version of the channel, move the Firestick to 5 GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet, and restart your router. Our full list is in How to fix IPTV buffering.

No TV guide Give the EPG a few minutes to load after the first login, then use Update EPG in the player settings.

"Downloader can't reach this address" Check the address for typos; some player websites change their download links. Our team can send the current official link on WhatsApp.

Using more than one Firestick

You can install Nomad IPTV on every Firestick in the house with the same login. Your plan's connections decide how many can play at the same time. If two people will watch on different TVs simultaneously, you need at least two connections — you can upgrade later by contacting support with your order ID.
