How to Install Nomad IPTV on Samsung & LG Smart TV

Samsung and LG smart TVs can play Nomad IPTV without a stick or box. Samsung uses Tizen and LG uses webOS, and both have IPTV players in their own app stores. Most of these players are activated with your TV's MAC address or a device key, and you add your Nomad IPTV playlist from a web page on your phone or laptop.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Step 1: Have your Nomad IPTV login ready

After payment you receive an email with your username, password and server URL (Xtream Codes login), plus an M3U link for apps that prefer a playlist. Keep it open on your phone while you set up.

  2. Step 2: Open your TV's app store

Samsung: press Home and open Apps. LG: press Home and open the LG Content Store (or Apps on newer webOS versions).

  3. Step 3: Install an IPTV player

Search for IBO Player (or IPTV Smarters Pro) and install it. Open the app once: it shows a MAC address and a device key on screen. Take a photo of them.

  4. Step 4: Add your playlist

On your phone or laptop, open the player's official website, go to the playlist upload page and enter the MAC address and device key. Paste your Nomad IPTV M3U link (or the Xtream server URL, username and password) and save.

  5. Step 5: Restart the app

Close the app on the TV completely and open it again. Your Nomad IPTV playlist loads with live channels, films, series and the TV guide.

  6. Step 6: Tidy up your channel list

Hide the channel groups you never watch and add favourites — on a TV remote this makes browsing much quicker.

Tips for Smart TV

  • Some player apps charge a small one-time activation fee after a free period. That fee goes to the app developer, not to Nomad IPTV.
  • Connect the TV by Ethernet if you can: many TVs have slow built-in Wi-Fi chips.
  • If your TV is older than about 2018 and the apps run slowly, a Firestick or Android TV box will give a better experience.
  • Switch off the TV's motion smoothing for live sport to avoid the "soap opera" effect.

FAQ

Smart TV questions

Do I need a Firestick if I have a smart TV?

No. Samsung and LG TVs can run IPTV players directly. A stick is only worth it if your TV is old or its app runs slowly.

Where do I find my TV's MAC address?

Most IPTV players show it on their start screen. You can also find it under the TV's network settings (Network → Network Status on Samsung, Network → Wi-Fi/Wired connection on LG).

Does Nomad IPTV work on Sony, Philips, TCL or Hisense TVs?

Yes. Those TVs mostly run Android TV or Google TV — follow our Android TV guide. Hisense TVs on VIDAA can use VIDAA-compatible players.
